In a recent video that was uploaded on Saturday, Governor Fubara claimed, “Our own is one talk, quick to action,” subtly criticising Wike, a well-known politician and attorney, while highlighting his expertise in accounting.
Fubara’s words, “We are accountants, We are not lawyers, who will talk talk talk and use talk to full house dem no go fit do one thing, Our own is one talk, Quick to action.”

As a result of the extreme tensions between the two leaders, 27 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Fubara responded by ordering the Assembly Complex to be demolished, citing the necessity for repair following an alleged “arson attack” on October 29.
Control of the state’s political system is at the centre of the continuing power struggle between the governor and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
