An electrical spark within the terminal is what caused the power outage at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, according to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The spark came from the ceiling of the E arrival hall, according to a statement made public by Mrs. Obiageli Orah, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection.
At around 11:20 a.m., a cable short circuit is said to have caused the incident, which happened in the terminal’s E-Wing.
