Simon Ekpa, a popular Biafra agitator and Separatist, has stated that he is exonerating Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, from whatever actions the Biafrans will take.
Ekpa, a lawyer based in Finland and self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government, in a video posted on his Twitter account on Sunday.
According to news reports, Kanu asked Ekpa to quit criticizing southeast governors.
However, Ekpa claimed that the letter was forged and false.

He claims the letter is from miscreants who oppose Biafra’s independence.
He renewed his appeal for Kanu’s release in order to ensure long-term peace in the southeast.
In the video, he said, “The reason for us not taking orders from the DSS dungeon anymore is to safeguard our leader. We want our leader to be safe; we want to forgive our leader for anything that Biafrans will be doing for his own best interests.
“So any actions that Biafra people will be taking in Biafra land, you don’t attach Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to it. Any actions that Biafrans will be taking in Biafra land for the freedom of Biafra, freedom of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and freedom of all prisoners of conscience, you do not bring Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to it.”
