President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the National Identity Management Commission’s (NIMC) Director-General/CEO, Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, to begin on a 90-day pre-retirement leave.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the retirement vacation would begin on August 24, 2023, and will last until his official retirement on November 24, 2023.
Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, announced this in a statement on Tuesday.

The President also gave his approval to Bisoye Coker-Odusote’s appointment as the National Identity Management Commission’s (NIMC) 90-day acting CEO and Director-General.
After Coker-Odusote’s nomination becomes official on August 24, 2023, a substantive four-year term as the NIMC Director-General/CEO would start on November 24, 2023.
Additionally, President Tinubu gave his approval for the choice of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub to lead the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC) as its CEO and Director.
This comes after Dr Pius Osunyikanmi, the former CEO and Director of DTAC, just had his contract expire.
According to report, the statement stated that the appointment is effective immediately.
