A man who is respected, adored and to some extent ‘worshipped’ by his people and the Nnewi community at large.
A lot has been said about the person of Dr. Cletus Ibeto and more would still be said but none will ever be enough to quantify his largesse and benevolence to his people in times past and present. As the need for a befitting hall plagued his people, he thought it upon himself to build not just a hall but an edifice. He single-handedly built and handed it over to his people in grand style.
The event witnessed the creme de la creme of the city of billionaires, Nnewi and had the presence of the longest-serving Igbo monarch and number 2 in Nigeria, HRM, Igwe KON Orizu (III).
Dr. Cletus Ibeto, The Field Marshal of “Aku Lu Uno,” a tagline accustomed with the Nnewi people, and their penchant for rapid development in their town is a household name.
As the Christmas season approached last year, and the influx of returnees for the holidays were all over the place, Omekannaya did the needful by handing over the hall to his community, a first in Nnewi as far as the town is concerned. The hall which is located along the ever-busy Igwe Orizu road is a beauty through and through. The beauty that glows at night makes it a mecca of sorts for people and passerby who leverage on its flashy backgrounds and lightings to pose for shots.
