Nigeria’s Under-23 Olympic Eagles yesterday came from a goal down to beat Zambia 3-1 to keep their hope of qualification for the last four of the U23 AFCON competition alive.
The Zambians took the lead in the 12th minute when Daka beat Adamu Abubakar from the left side of the box after a swift break.
But Olympic Eagles drew level four minutes later as Bologna’s Orji Okonkwo found the bottom left corner after Ibrahim Sunusi had set him up from a corner.

The U23 Eagles took the lead for the first time in the 65th minute of the match through a sublime free-kick taken by former Arsenal starlet Kelechi Nwakali.
Taiwo Awoniyi put the icing on the cake for Nigeria when he found the net to make it 3-1.
