President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has finally moved into the presidential mansion in Aso Rock in Abuja, after being inaugurated on May 29, 2023.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the president has been operating from his own residence in Asokoro since his inauguration because the official mansion has been under restoration since April.
Remember that before leaving office, President Muhammadu Buhari and his family relocated to the Glass House, which is generally used as a transit facility, due to the refurbishment of the main residence.
Weeks After Inauguration, Tinubu Yet To Move Into Aso Villa Residence
However, according to TheCable, President Tinubu relocated to the Glass House on Sunday night, until the completion of the president’s official residence refurbishment in August.
According to a presidency official, Tinubu moved into the Villa in response to public complaints about traffic congestion caused by road closures and limitations.
The source said: “He finally moved on Sunday night because of public complaints over the traffic congestion around his movements.
“He too was unhappy with the discomfort to the public but the official residence is still not ready, so he decided to move to the Glass House.”
