The Invasion:
Residents of Pavu village awoke to a nightmare when armed kidnappers invaded their community at approximately 1:00 am one fateful night. The sudden intrusion by the gunmen sent shockwaves through the tranquil village, leaving its residents in a state of fear and disbelief.
Tragically, the invaders not only abducted innocent villagers but also resorted to violence. During the invasion, the second-in-command to the village head, known as the Madaki, lost his life. It was reported that he was shot dead by the kidnappers when he attempted to escape their clutches. The untimely death of the Madaki left the community mourning the loss of a prominent figure.
The kidnappers, in their ruthless act, abducted nine other residents of Pavu village. These individuals, including men, women, and children, were forcibly taken from their homes and families. The identities of those abducted include Haruna Musa, Josiah Gonna, Emmanuel Haruna, Afayinya Josiah, Benjamin Thomas, Sister Gift, Shalom Josiah, Patience Thomas, and FearGod Thomas.
Shop Burglaries:
In addition to the kidnappings and tragic loss of life, the invaders also targeted local shops within the community. Reports indicate that these shops were burglarized during the invasion, further deepening the sense of insecurity among residents.
