In a press conference held shortly after he and 44 other newly appointed ministers in Abuja were sworn in, Anaedoonline.ng previously reported that Wike had threatened to demolish houses built in the wrong parts of Abuja, regardless of whether the owners were ministers or ambassadors.
The newly sworn-in Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has been cautioned against his threat to destroy homes in the nation’s capital by Daniel Bwala, the spokesman for the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation for the 2023 presidential election.
Prior to his swearing in as a minister alongside 44 other individuals in Abuja following their nominations by President Bola Tinubu, Wike, according to an earlier article by Anaedoonline.ng, warned to demolish houses built at wrong locations in Abuja, even if the owners of such structures are ministers or ambassadors.
Why Bola Tinubu Refused To Nominate Fani-Kayode, Keyamo As Ministers
Regardless of the owners’ stance, Wike declared that houses constructed in Abuja illegally to obstruct the city’s master plan will be torn down.
In response to the threat made by the PDP leader and recently-departed governor of Rivers State, Bwala reminded Wike on his X (formerly Twitter) account that Abuja is not Rivers State and that the President will be forced to fire him if he causes chaos there and jeopardises Tinubu’s interests with his “bullish and vendetta spirit.”
Bwala asserts that citizens of the FCT require access to inexpensive healthcare facilities, quality educational opportunities, clean sports and recreation areas, a reliable and economical transportation system, effective and functional street lighting in urban areas and the suburbs, and security, not demolitions.
He said, “Hello sir, in case you need refresher course; the basic needs of the residents of the FCT are; affordable healthcare facilities, access to good education facilities, clean sports and recreational centers, affordable transport services system, efficient and workable street light in the city Centre and the suburbs; and finally, security.

“You came with a bullish and vendetta spirit venting fire and brimstone about demolition and revocation of titles.
“Abuja is not Port Harcourt. If you create chaos in the city, you will jeopardize your principal’s interests and he will be forced to sacrifice your job. You will learn humility on the job.”
