On Saturday, the ninth Senate’s final plenary was attended by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The first two seats in the front row, which are frequently taken by the leaders, were reserved for the couple.
After being sworn in on June 12, 2019, the ninth Senate will conclude its work on June 11, 2023.
Most of the parliamentarians were present for the valedictory session, which began at around 11 a.m., along with the Vice President and First Lady, Kano State Governor Uba Sani, and Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor Dr. Akon Eyakenyi, among others.

After today, the lawmakers will no longer seat for plenary sessions but can still perform other legislative functions until Sunday, June 11.
The 10th Assembly will be inaugurated on Tuesday, June 13, when the presiding officers will be elected.
The ANAEDOONLINE reports that only about 34 lawmakers from the ninth Senate would be returning to the 10th Assembly.
