The Ogun State Police Command has arrested Abiodun Oladapo, 43, for allegedly impregnating his 19-year-old daughter and forcing her to lie that her boyfriend was responsible.
According to news sources, the culprit was apprehended following a complaint submitted at Mowe divisional headquarters by one Oluwatoyin Idowu, according to a statement from the state police command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi.
Oluwatoyin stated that her son, Michael Idowu, was accused of impregnating the victim, and that she probed him thoroughly and determined that the victim was not telling the truth.

According to the police chief, following the report, the victim, who is five months pregnant, was summoned to the station and told the officers that, while Michael Idowu slept with her in December 2022, it was her father who was responsible for the pregnancy.
She went on to say that her father had been sleeping with her since February 2022 and threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
According to the police spokeswoman, the suspect was apprehended and confessed to the crime.
He further stated that the suspect has been transferred to state criminal investigation departments for further investigation and possible prosecution by the Commissioner of Police, Frank Mba.
Abimbola said: “According to the victim, when it was discovered that she is pregnant, her father asked her to lie against Michael Idowu of being responsible for the pregnancy. Upon her confession, the DPO Mowe division, SP Folake Afeniforo detailed detectives to go after the randy father, and he was subsequently arrested. On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime but blamed it on the devil.
