This development took effect today at the Zonal Executive Meeting of the party at Imo Concord Hotel.
The Senator pledged to contribute towards the progress of the party. He said “I shall contribute in all ramifications for the progress of our dear party”.
Senator Ifeanyi Araraume was a gubernatorial aspirant of the APC being one of the founding members of the party before he joined APGA and was the party’s flag bearer in the 2019 General Elections.
Following the death of Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, there have been calls for Senator Ifeanyi Araraume to return to the APC and contest in the by election to occupy the now vacant Okigwe zone senate seat.
Senator Ifeanyi Araraume is yet to declare his intentions but this move shows he might be considering the calls to contest for Okigwe Senate.

Chief Iwuala, who stated this while reacting to a statement credited to *Senator Araraume that John Iwuala* is unknown to him, APGA and the law, recently, said that Araraume, who was the 2019 governorship candidate of party was the cause of the setback the party suffered in the 2019 general election, as it was because of his political style that over 100 aspirants left the party.
His words, “Araraume’s entrance into APGA is a disaster, because he made us to lose over hundred aspirants in all the elective positions, but I thank God that today, with his expulsion, many of them have indicated interest to rejoin the APGA family. So far, about 10 governorship aspirants and more than 40 aspirants at various levels have indicated interest to return to APGA”.
