Nigerians have resorted to social media to voice their dissatisfaction with the outcome.
Anaedoonline.ng gathered some of the reactions from the microblogging site Twitter, which are included below.
Twitter will be quiet today as our erudite economist Kingsley Moghalu lost primaries despite buying local groundnut.

The ADC primaries is a proof that Twitter noise doesn’t win elections.
I’m just hearing of the winner for the very first time while Monye and Moghalu were tipped to win.
My Omoooo is Omoooooed.

Never heard of Dumebi Kachukwu before.
In ADC, I only knew Kingsley Moghalu and Chikwuka Monye. This thing shock me oooo.

Just seeing that a few days ago an ADC chieftain clearly stated that Dumebi Kachikwu & Prof. Moghalu were the only “serious contenders” in the race.
They came 1st & 2nd respectively.
Moral Of this Story; Learn to separate Twitter popularity from Party popularity.

The fact that Dumebi Kachikwu won the ADC's presidential primaries ahead of the prominent candidates like Moghalu & Monye is a clear proof that the masses place money ahead of competence.
As we urge the people to get their PVC, we also have d duty to educate them to vote wisely.

Dumebi Kachikwu- 977
Kingsley Moghalu- 589
Chukwuka Monye- 339
God knows I don't know how Dumebi defeated Moghalu and Monye but congrats to him.
I've not hidden my love for Chukwuka Monye, man is very sound and has a vision, who I wish he can join us in OBIdient FC 🙏🙏🙏

Kingsley Moghalu & Chukwuka Monye should both port to labour party to support P.O since they didn't make it in ADC. They both will be very useful in his government occupying very sensitive positions.

History will record what happened at the ADC convention 08-06-2022. That Nigerian for once in a life time had someone like Moghalu, but his party @ADCNig failed him.
We saw what the delegates did outside, your party chairmen and the police. https://t.co/ZishbUUD6d

Osinbajo, Moghalu, Monye should pull their structures behind Peter Obi and change the history of Nigeria together.

Kingsley Moghalu lost and they're saying the winner shared dollars. If he had won, they'd have hailed the same delegates they now insult.
If you go into an election with an expected outcome, then maybe you are not a democrat. It is the people who should decide the outcome.

The funny thing is that this Dumebi guy has done absolutely zilch for the party in terms of marketing it or driving membership registration like Moghalu has or even Monye but here he is leading?
Omo, Nigeria will never get it right.

It’s so shocking that Kingsley Moghalu and Chukwuka Monye both lost the ADC Presidential ticket. Who would have ever thought? These men made the party popular. What could have happened? Most people don’t even know who Dumebi Kachikwu is.

Congratulations to Dumebi Kachikwu for doing a clean swoop in copping the ADC presidential ticket ahead of Prof. Kingsley Moghalu and Dr Chukwuka Monye.
The other two can come join Peter Obi in the support for a worthy opposition against the dominance of PDP and APC tho. pic.twitter.com/zO3T07c1h8

I was low key rooting for Chukwuka Monye. Man smells of credibility and total honesty. But Nigeria politics $$$ allegedly happened. Hoping these character of men (Chukwuka Monye & Kingsley Moghalu) will back Peter Obi.

While you were asleep, Kingsley Moghalu and Chukwuka Monye were beaten to the ADC presidential ticket by Dumebi Kachikwu.
There are levels to this thing and when some of us talk, its not because we want your candidate to lose.#BreakfastAtMidnight

At the foundation of Leadership Selection quagmire in Nigeria, is the Delegates System. A little known Dumebi Kachikwu, beat Kingsley Moghalu & Chukwuka Monye to emerge as ADC’s Presidential flagbearer. Delegates System will continue to keep out the competent.
Abolish it, NOW!!!
— NEFERTITI (@firstladyship) June 9, 2022
Now that Kingsley Moghalu and Chukwuka Monye have both been edged out from the ADC presidential ticket by a fraudulent Arrangement, I suggest they team up with Peter Obi in the Labour party that shares same ideology.
