A Nigerian photographer, Chika Onuu shot two kids as they unpacked and soaked two cartons of Indomie noodles inside a bathtub filled with water.
Chika who had the shoot in celebration of Children ’s Day yesterday, May 27th, shared the photos on Instagram and wrote;
“For as long as I can remember, Children ’s Day Celebrations have always been public… Match past at the stadium, parties at eateries and games at recreational sites or amusement parks, but this year’s took a unique turn.
I really don’t want to imagine how yesterday turned out for most parents, but I’m sure they were “thankful” 😁 and still, I’m positive it didn’t end in tears for the kids😅. Dear Parents,
Keep Calm, Rona crisis will soon be gone.
A little more patience! 😂
However, Children are special gifts from God, they comprise a large part of our lives, and everyday adults work hard to be able to provide for their children. They are the reason for the struggles parents face, yet the smile that follows when they see them blossom is special.
Parents love their children; very few parents despise their children. Children are gorgeous, beautiful, and innocent- there is no way you won’t love them, however, there are key things parents and intending parents should consider while raising their children. There is no manual for parenting, everyone goes on and on hoping they get it right but there are things every parent should or should not do while raising their kids.
Watch your spoken words
Never use derogatory words on your children; you might be subconsciously planting in them what they will model later in their lives. Do not call your children goats, cow, sheep, idiots, bastards, or any other related. The children will see themselves less, do not tell your children they are worthless, if your child is not doing as well as you want in school or other sectors of life, encourage them don’t tell them they are bad at it. Do not think less of your children rather speak to them to do better.
