The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, Friday, October 26, paid courtesy visit to the Traditional Ruler of Nnewi, Igwe Kenneth Orizu III.
The IGP was in Nnewi to unveil the 2019 edition of INNOSON Granite.
The IG, who was represented by a Deputy Inspector- General of Police, Agboola Oshodi-Glover, was accompanied by the Commissioner of Police of Anambra, Imo, Enugu and Delta State Commands.
The Commissioner of Police Anambra State, Mr Garba Umar introduced IG’s representative to Igwe Orizu.
He also introduced the Commissioner of Police, Imo State, Mr. Dasuki Galafinchi; Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Danmallam Mohammed; and the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Muhammad Mustafa.
Receiving the visitors in his palace, the traditional ruler commended them for their commitment towards ensuring a secured Nigeria.
He pledged his continued support towards the Nigeria Police Force in making sure that Nigeria is well guarded.
In his remarks during the visit, DIG Agboola, thanked Igwe Orizu for the support he has been giving to the police in Nnewi.
He said, “I want to thank you, Sir for the support you have been giving to the police here in Nnewi; because, we know that without your support, Nnewi will not be effectively secured.
‘’Nnewi is a home of industry in Nigeria; and we are grateful for the invitation extended to us by one of your illustrious sons, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, to unveil the Innoson IVM Granite, 2019 Edition’’

In his vote of thanks on behalf of the Igwe and Nnewi people, Senator Onyeabo Obi, appreciated the IGP and his entourage for their visit to Nnewi and encouraged them to continue to discharge their duties with patriotism.
