On Wednesday at around 2 p.m., some police officers posted near the Lagos State House of Assembly, Alausa, Ikeja, violently beat an unnamed woman.
Eyewitnesses said that the police took up the dark-skinned woman after noticing a low cut and accused her of being a cultist.

The witness claimed that three cops viciously attacked the defenseless woman while removing her shirt, using rods, a belt, punches, and slaps.
According to the eyewitness, who requested anonymity out of concern for retaliation, “despite her screams that she was innocent and only came to the area to relax and was not guilty of anything, the policemen dragged her on the floor, removed her footwear, handcuffed her, and drove away.”
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “I am not aware of the incident.”
