A man simply identified as Owenco was allegedly killed on Friday night after scores of hoodlums went on rampage in Ijeshatedo.
The man, according to a family friend Samuel Salami was matcheted by bandits who stormed the area to rob residents around 7pm.
Salami who took to his Facebook page on Saturday evening to lament the death of his friend’s father, said the old man fell while fleeing from suspected One Million Boys but the hoodlums axed his head and body.
He said: “The nefarious gang was on rampage on the street at about 7pm on Friday, machete anyone on their way. My friend’s dad stumbled and fell to the ground due to old age and before he could stand up, he was caught and machete all over his body.
“He was rushed to the hospital at Funto Hospital, along Ijesha road but unfortunately gave up the ghost early Saturday morning due to the multiple machete cuts all over his body and head.

“One million boys’ nefarious activity is real. In case anyone is still in doubt and believe the news are speculations or false information as concluded by the Nigeria Police Lagos CP Hakeem Odunosu and many others.
“The remain of my bosom friend’s dad is hereby laid to rest. We wish him eternal rest.
Findings by our Correspondent revealed that there were clashes between area boys in Aguda, Ijesha and Itire occasioned by long standing rivalries.
Residents on Friday night raised alarm over robbery attacks at Ijeshatedo axis with some alleging that robbers were operating in their streets especially Pako, Aguda, Odo-Eran and Itire.
Also, sporadic gunshots were heard from that axis till about midnight, which some residents later confirmed the gunshots were fired by the police who responded to their distress calls.
Contacted, police spokesman Bala Elkana said what happened in the area was the usual clashes between Aguda/Itire and Ijesha boys and not the so-called One Million Boys.
Elkana said the police do not have any record of death as a result of the incident, adding that nine suspects were arrested.
He said: “What we have is the usual clashes of Aguda, Itire and Ijesha boys. The came out and engaged in fights. The fight started around Itire.
We got the information and policemen were deployed to the area.
“Nine of the suspects were arrested, four cutlasses and a lot of broken bottles were recovered from the scene. We do not have any record of death or injury.”
