According to the justices of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, there is no evidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ever been detained or found guilty of a crime.
The petition’s contention that Tinubu’s loss of cash constitutes a conviction of a criminal act was rejected, the tribunal stated in its decision on the appeal filed by Labour and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
