The Federal Capital (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has been added to the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council for the 2019 Bayelsa State governorship election.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Wike and Samuel Ortom, the former governor of Benue State, were members of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship election campaign committee.
The former governor of Rivers State has recently been sworn in by President Bola Tinubu as a minister, although he has not yet resigned from the Peoples Democratic, PDP.

Prior to the presidential election on February 25, he split from the PDP.
However, when the APC established campaign councils for the Bayelsa, Kogi, and Imo governorship elections scheduled for later in the year, Wike was also included as a member of the council.
Inuwa Yahaya, the governor of Gombe State, was named the party’s candidate for governor of Bayelsa in a circular from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), along with co-chairmen Defence Minister Abubakar Badaru, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume.
