Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura, a nurse at the Specialist Hospital in Zamfara State, is said to have slumped and died while on duty.
According to Auwal Usman, the hospital’s spokesman, who confirmed the incident to Tribune on Wednesday, Bakura arrived at the hospital looking well and in good spirits, only to be pronounced dead a few hours later after testing the blood pressure of roughly 30 patients.
Usman went on to say that she had complained to a doctor about a cardiac problem and died shortly after.

It was said that it was too late for the doctors to resuscitate her.
“The medical doctors tried all they could to save her life but they couldn’t as she died instantly,” he added.
According to Usman, the management team of the hospital led by the Medical Director Dr Usman Shanawa has handed over the corpse to the relatives of the deceased.
When contacted, a family member of the late nurse confirmed that Asmau left home hale and hearty on Wednesday morning and went to the hospital where she works as a nurse without any health complaints.
“She was buried today by 5 pm at Malan Abdurrahaman House, Magama Area, Bungudu according to Islamic injunction,” the relative added.
