On Saturday, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization confirmed the authenticity of a handwritten letter from IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu to self-proclaimed Biafra activist Simon Ekpa.
Ohanaeze claimed Kanu submitted the letter in response to Ekpa’s 14-day sit-at-home plan to destroy the Southeast.
According to the organization, Ekpa’s accusation that Kanu’s letter was forged demonstrated that the Finland-based agitator was working for those aiming to destroy the Southeast.
Ohanaeze Pledge To Provide Evidence of Terrorism To Prosecute Simon Ekpa
The apex Igbo socio-cultural group said that Ekpa took advantage of the Federal Government’s shortcomings in order to free Kanu and support insecurity in the Southeast.
Speaking with Newsmen, Ohanaeze’s factional Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said: “The current face-off between Simon Ekpa and Nnamdi Kanu is proof that he has been using Kanu’s incarceration to terrorize the people of the Southeast.
“He capitalized on the lapses of the Federal Government not to release Kanu on bail to terrorize the people of the Southeast.
“He is using the weak link to unleash terror on the Southeast while he is working for the enemies of Ndigbo to ensure that he destabilizes the Southeast. The people trying to destroy the Southeast through insecurity are those sponsoring Ekpa.
Nnamdi Kanu’s Family Confirms His Handwriting Letter Ending Sit-At-Home
“After due investigation, the letter Kanu wrote to Ekpa is 100 percent genuine, we have confirmed from reliable sources that the handwritten letter was written in view of Ekpa’s sit-at-home to cripple the Southeast in 14 days, and this is the height of terrorism, given the entrepreneur nature of the Igbo nation.
“The authenticity of that letter is 100 percent, it’s not fake, Ekpa knows that by obeying Kanu, he would lose those sponsoring him to destroy the Southeast.
“Ekpa’s disobedience to Kanu’s order is a proof that he’s being sponsored by those who want the Southeast to continually have insecurity challenge.”
