The ‘Peoples Elephants’, unarguably the most successful team in the Nigerian domestic league with eighth titles, will have the chance to come back against Adamawa United at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
The visitors who have put virtually every foot wrong this season and struggling at the base of the table will have their hands full against an Enyimba side that has not hiding their intention to gain the points they lost in Akure.
The media officer of the team Zazi Bariza in an interview with newsmen said
“We did not plan to lose that match, but it came and gone. But on Sunday, we are gunning to get the three points back and Adamawa United will pay the price,” he said. An expected win for Enyimba will take their points’ haul to 10.
Enyimba suffered a surprise 0-1 loss to Sunshine Stars in Akure in one of the week four league games across the country. Anthony Omaka grabbed the lone goal of the match in the eleventh minute and all efforts by the Peoples Elephants to come back proved futile.

The win marked the first for the ‘Owena Waves’ as they were before then still searching for the first win of the season. They had played three times before with two draws and one loss, given hope to the fans of Enyimba that their team would get at least a draw in the match.
This position is understandable because Enyimba had before the encounter at the Akure Township Stadium, won two games and drew one, giving them seven points and a second spot on the log.
