The National Secretary of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Oladipupo Olayokun, has been suspended by his ward for alleged anti-party activities.
Anaedoonline.ng reports that Olayokun was suspended by the executive members of his local constituency in Ward 5, Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The suspension of Olayokun was contained in a letter addressed to Olayokun dated August 6 and sent to the party’s presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, and the founder of the party, Boniface Aniebonam.

The letter, which contained his sanction, was officially signed by 25 members of the executive team of the ward, including 25 other ward members.
The ward executive accused Olayokun in the letter of engaging in anti-party actions, being the brains behind the party problem in Ogun, disloyalty, and inciting factionalism inside the party.
The letter reads partly, “The suspension of Your Membership is due to the total neglect of NNPP at the Ward Level, realising you never participated in any party activities.
“In the same Vein, your refusal to vote neither for the Presidential Candidate nor the Governorship Candidate of NNPP at the last General Election was an act of gross indiscipline that must not go unpunished.

“Consequently, we advise you to Stop parading yourself as a member and National Secretary of this Party.”
