To pilot the affairs of the association in the next two years, Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Nnewi Branch, has elected her new executives.
The election which was necessary following the tenure expiration of the former executives, held at Nnewi High Court Building, in Umudim Nnewi, during the weekend.
Amongst the newly elected officials were, Barr. Kingsley Awuka, Chairman, Barr. Obinna Ubah, Vice Chairman, Barr. Chinedu Igwegbe, Secretary, Barr. Mrs Amara Okaro, Treasurer, Barr. Emeka Onedibe, Assistant Secretary, Barr. S.A Ezeugwu, Welfare Secretary and Barr. U.P Igwe, Social Welfare.
Speaking after his election, the new Chairman, Barr. Kingsley Awuka, promised to take the welfare of members of the branch as his top priority.
He assured members of the association that he will run an all-inclusive administration, where the opinions of all members will count.
He urged members to bring to table their ideas and commitment, to move the branch forward.
On his own part, the newly elected Vice-Chairman, Barr. Obinna Ubah, said that the new administration will project a law practice that will ensure that people within their environment will find justice.
The election into the office of the Financial Secretary was annulled while that of the Publicity Secretary and Legal are yet to be conducted.
