On Tuesday, representatives of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) closed the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Company Limited’s Abuja headquarters.
The National Oil Company’s headquarters were closed to human and vehicle access, and numerous departments experienced disruptions in operations.
This is a result of the direction given to all of its affiliated unions by the Organised Labour, which is made up of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

Labour had ordered its members to stop working in protest over the attack on NLC President Joe Ajaero in Imo State, countrywide.
The National Industrial Court in Abuja had ordered the NLC and the TUC not to go on strike, but the unions disregarded the ruling and went forward on the industrial action.
The Organised Labour said during a press conference on Monday in Abuja that all levels of government need to take responsibility for their actions.
