On Monday, August 14, 2023, in the Ojota neighbourhood of Lagos state, a video of Nigerian army personnel beating up a LASTMA official has appeared on social media.
A LASTMA official who has not been named was beaten up by the military as he begged to be released in the viral video.
A week after a LASTMA official was photographed beating a soldier inside a commercial vehicle known as a “Danfo” in the Ketu area of the state, the military personnel thrashed the LASTMA official.
LASTMA Instructs Young People About Traffic Control
A group of men in uniform stormed Ojota and thrashed the LASTMA official on duty there till he passed out in reprisal for the assault committed against one of their own.
On lookers could be seen scampering for safety whilst the military pounced on the LASTMA, pleading for help during the incident.
