Daniel Bwala, an adviser to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu to proceed with caution in dealing with the Niger Republic coup.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has given General Abdourahamane Tchiani, the mastermind of the coup in Niger Republic, seven days to surrender power to Mohammed Bazoum.
The decision was part of the resolutions taken during the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government emergency meeting on Sunday in Abuja.

Other resolutions adopted at the meeting’s conclusion included a firm warning that if the coup plotters fail to restore political stability within seven days, ECOWAS may resort to force.
Bwala warned Tinubu, who also serves as the head of ECOWAS, not to get involved in a proxy fight on Twitter.
He advised the president to resist the temptation to send troops to Niger.
The presidential advisor warned against using the revenues from the withdrawal of gasoline subsidies to govern or run ECOWAS.
UPDATE: Peter Obi Is A Politician In The Model Of Donald Trump – Bwala
He wrote, “Mr President should exercise caution and discretion on the Niger coup and how to approach it. One fact is clear, we don’t want military intervention anywhere in Africa. No matter how imperfect the democracy, we shall force it’s growth through citizenship engagement. PBAT should avoid being drawn into what appears to be a proxy war. The temptation to send soldiers to Niger should be resisted by all means. Peace in Niger is strategic to our national security. Engage through diplomacy; use the power of economic, trade, travel sanctions etc; but avoid militarization of diplomacy. We do not have even soldiers and arms for our own internal and territorial security; proceeds from removal of subsidy must NEVER BE USED TO RUN, OPERATE OR MANAGE ECOWAS. I come in peace”
