Nigeria has recorded 790 new cases of COVID-19 across various states as Delta, in the South-south region of the country stays on top for the day’s record.
The state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and his wife had just confirmed testing positive for COVID-19 today, in a Facebook post.

Announcing via its official Twitter handle this evening, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) stated that 166 of the new cases were recorded in Delta, followed by Lagos with 120 new cases and Enugu with 66 cases, the third highest for Wednesday, July 1.
As at now, 26,484 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nigeria so far, with 10,152 patients discharged and a record 603 deaths.
