On Tuesday, the Nigerian Navy Ship Beecroft displayed three members of the Gallantry Intelligence Corps of Nigeria security organization in the Isolo district of Lagos State.
While presenting the suspects, the Commander of NNS Beecroft, Commodore Kolawole Oguntuga, stated that they were detained after receiving complaints of their alleged fraudulent operations.
Oguntuga claimed that the organization was informed of the actions of the guys who have been displaying Vice Admiral EI Ogalla, the Chief of Naval Staff, around the region and making accusations that the Navy and the security firm are working together to defraud the public.
The suspects dressed in a black beret and a Navy blue combat shirt and trousers were identified as Oladele Daniel, 23; Eriwole Ogunlana, 24 and Mubarak Mayegun, 24.

He said, “In a significant development to prevent swindling the general public, the Nigerian Navy Ship Beecroft patrol team apprehended three impostors within the vicinity of Isolo, Lagos State.
“This operation, conducted on September 1, 2023, was initiated in response to reports of fraudulent individuals featuring the image of Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral EI Ogalla, in printed posters being circulated.
“The impostors sought to deceive the public into believing there exists a false collaboration between an illegal security outfit, Gallantry Intelligence Corps of Nigeria and the Nigerian Navy.”
Oguntuga said the suspects had been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
