Some criminals in the Epe region are taking advantage of the naira crisis to assault local banks.
The banks attacked, according to a source who resides in the Epe neighbourhood and talked to our correspondent under the condition of anonymity, were Zenith, Access, and Keystone banks.
Moreover, images of the area’s banks with damaged windows have surfaced online. Numerous banks in the vicinity briefly stopped operating as a result of the strikes, it was learned.
The attacks on a few local banks were also confirmed by Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police.
He declared, “Our guys are already on the ground, but three banks were attacked in Epe.”

ANAEDOONLINE.NG, had earlier reported on Friday morning that fighting erupted in some areas on the popular Lagos-Ikorodu Expressway in Lagos State over the scarcity of the new naira notes and the hardship the policy had thrown at Nigerians.
It was gathered that suspected louts in Mile 12, Ketu and Ojota areas on the expressway took to the streets attacking commuters and creating chaos.
Also, it was reported that pockets of protests had broken out in Agege, Iyana-Ipaja and Igando areas of the state over the naira crisis.
