Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has asked religious leaders of all faiths like Father Ejike Mbaka, David Oyedepo amongst others to unite and support the fight against terrorism. Buhari made the call in a statement titled ‘President Buhari urges spiritual leaders to mobilise people of all faiths to fight crimes.’

A court in Cyprus has sentenced a Nigerian, Chrstopher Ezeh linked to the murder of another Nigerian student, Walshak Augustine Ngok to 27 years in jail. Judge, Şerife Kâtip of the Lefkosa High Criminal Court, also sentenced one Nana Nkansah, a Ghanaian and Wayne Moyo, a Zimbabwean who helped transport the body to three years each.

A 200 level Political Science student of the Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu, in the person of George Nnamdi, has been arrested for faking his abduction after pranking Faith Godson, his girlfriend that he has been kidnapped. ANAEDOONLINE reports that last week three students of the university were abducted by armed men on their way to Okigwe in Imo State. Two of the students later escaped as they were being marched into the bush by their abductors while one just regained freedom after spending three days in the kidnappers’ den.

The Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, the apex youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Under the leadership of Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka has appealed to the Federal Government to deproscribe and delist the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as a terrorist organization.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has announced that Uduak Frank Akpan, the suspected killer of a job seeker, Iniubong Umoren was paraded Friday to dismiss rumour of his death in custody. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Odiko Macdon, who made this known in a telephone conversation with SaharaReporters, lamented that people are frustrating police’s efforts.
