Following an altercation at a football game in India that resulted in a fight between Indians and other African students, including Nigerians, the UN has called for peace.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Secretary General Antonio Guterres expressed confidence that India would uphold Gandhi’s objectives.
The UN reminded the Indians that Mahatma Gandhi, who personified the message of peace, nonviolence, and tolerance, was an inspiration to the men and women who created the UN Charter.

Antonio asked the Indians to establish a more peaceful and inclusive environment for everyone, but he made no mention of the shady episode.
“Let us work together for the next 75 years to create a more peaceful, just, sustainable, and inclusive world for all. And I trust that India will give a fundamental contribution for that to be possible,” Guterres said on Wednesday.
