Femi Ajayi, a deacon who is reportedly affiliated with the First Baptist Grammar School in Isanlu Isin, Kwara State’s Isin Local Government Area, and his father have been kidnapped by armed men.
Around 7 o’clock on Thursday night, the thugs abducted the pair and transported them somewhere they had not been before.
According to information obtained by City Round, the attackers shot the victims and wrecked their car before stealing them.
A WhatsApp post made by a relation of the victims read, “With deepest sympathy and a disturbing mind, I like to inform you that a syndicate of kidnappers has occurred at Isanlu Isin, damaging the vehicle and taking away Dr Femi Ajayi of First Baptist Grammar School, Isanlu Isin, and his father at Isanlu Isin in Ìsìn LGA Kwara State, just now. Please pray for us and the safety of their lives. God Almighty will continue protect us o.”

The post also called on community leaders to come to the aid of the residents, saying, “Igbomina community leaders and traditional rulers stand up o”.
Our correspondent learnt that another resident, identified only as Success, had also not returned home since Thursday.
A native of the community, who asked not to be identified, said Success’ family members had been searching for him, adding that their efforts were abortive.
The Transitional Implementation Committee Chairman of the council, Tunde Fadipe, who confirmed the incident, said he was in a meeting.
He promised to speak with our reporter later but had yet to do so as of press time.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Okasanmi Ajayi, also confirmed the incident, adding that the Commissioner of Police, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, had dispatched a team of policemen to the town.
He said, “The CP has dispatched a team of policemen, supported by local hunters and vigilantes, to the town for possible search and rescue of the abductees, please.”
