A girl simply identified as Jennifer has reportedly been raped by five young men in Kaduna State.
Unconfirmed reports say the alleged rapists were her friends who gave her a mixture of alcohol and drugs to drink.
Commissioner for human services and social development, Hafsat Baba, said in a Twitter message on Sunday night that the state government will investigate the matter and ensure that justice is done.
Mrs Baba’s statement was in response to claim that the alleged rapists have offered to pay Jennifer’s parents to settle the matter.
Man Rapes Akara Seller For Turning Down His Advances
However, a 29-year-old man, Buhari Abiola has been arrested for allegedly raping a 21-year-old fried potato and akara seller in Ogun State.
The Ogun state police command’s Police Public Relations Officer [PPRO], DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement on Sunday, said Abiola’s arrest followed a complaint filed by the victim at Adigbe Divisional Headquarters in Abeokuta.
The police spokesman explained that the victim was selling fried potatoes and beancake at church street area of Ojere.
He said the suspect came to buy the fried potatoes and asked the victim to come and collect the money in his house which was a stone throw to the place.

In another Story Man Kills And Eats His Wife To Survive After Being Stuck In An Elevator
A 44-year old Bruce Franklin has been arrested after he confessed to killing his wife and eating her flesh while he was stuck with her in an elevator.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the partially devoured corpse of his wife was lying next to him when he was rescued after being stuck for three days in an elevator.
Mr Franklin immediately confessed that he had reluctantly killed her and eaten almost 12 lbs of her flesh, saying it was necessary to his survival.
