Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has urged Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State to expose those behind the abduction of over 300 students from Government Girls’ Secondary School, Jangebe in northwest Nigeria.
Recall that Matawalle had said there are many revelations in relation to the abduction of the students. He had claimed that many people will be surprised to hear those people behind the abduction
According to him, some people are not comfortable with his peace initiative and are out to sabotage his efforts.
Reacting, Fani-Kayode on Twitter wrote, “I have known Matawalle for years and we are close. I trust him and I have respect and affection for him.

”When he says if people knew who those behind the kidnappings in his Zamfara state are it would rock the nation he has spoken the bitter truth. It’s time to name& shame those people!”
Meanwhile, all abducted students were released to the State Government on Tuesday. They arrived at the State Government House, Gusau, at about 4 a.m. on Tuesday.
Anaedoonline.ng reported that Kidnappers have released all the girls abducted from a boarding school in the northwestern Nigerian state of Zamfara on Friday, the state governor told Al Jazeera, as President Muhammadu Buhari expressed “overwhelming joy” over the news.
Bello Matawalle said on Tuesday the students were safe with authorities and that no ransom had been paid for their release.

“Today, we have received the children who were under captivity since Friday. I initiated a peace accord which yielded a positive result. No ransom was paid to anyone. I insisted that we were not going to give anything to any of them,” Matawalle told Al Jazeera.
The governor said the students were being taken to a health facility for medical examination.
On Friday, police said 317 girls Jangebe School Abduction girls were abducted in the raid by more than 100 gunmen on the Government Girls Secondary School in remote Jangebe village.
However, Matawalle told reporters the total number of kidnapped students was 279.
