General Manager of the Onitsha River Port, Wannes De Wit, recently made a statement in which he reaffirmed his commitment to the expansion and development of the port in Nigeria. De Wit cites the Onitsha Port’s capacity to handle barging and cargo clearance as one of its main benefits. This implies that companies may easily clear their goods at the port and carry them there on barges.
