Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has warned social media handlers in the state to desist from attacking his government, adding that he will no longer take it lightly with them.
The Governor’s warning was contained in a press release signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Oguwuike Nwachukwu, while reacting to claim by a social media influencer that the state government smuggled three Chinese doctors into the state.
The release said that the Governor, no doubt appreciates the gains derivable from utilization of social media platforms for positive purposes but will under no circumstances condone deliberate ploy by persons who see the social media as a tool to malign his person and office.
The Governor, therefore, called on such people to be guided accordingly as he reaffirmed the government’s commitment in offering dividends of democracy to Imo people.

Sources told Newsmen that, “the youths of Mmahu community who upon sighting the Governor’s convoy started shouting “Onye Oshi Vote, Onye Oshi Vote”, throwing bottles and weapons at the Bulletproof SUV of the Governor, which eventually damaged the Governor’s car”.
Meanwhile, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has commended the Supreme Court over its judgement that re-affirmed him as the duly elected Governor of Imo State.
Uzodinma who spoke with journalists after the Supreme Court’s ruling noted that the outcome is the expectation of the people of Imo State.
“The judgment represents the expectation of the mandate of the people. We give God all the glory that at the end of the day, the truth came prevailed. We commend the wisdom of the Supreme Court in standing by the truth.”
The All Progressives Congress governor promised to take the state to the next level. He took the opportunity to charge Imo people both home and abroad to contribute their quota to the development of the state.
