As Nigeria joins the international community to mark this year’s Human Rights Day, lawyers, activists, and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) have raised concerns over rising cases of rights violations across the country.
They have also scored the federal government low regarding its posture on rights enforcement in the country.

Human Rights Day is celebrated annually across the world on 10 December every year. The date was chosen to honour the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption and proclamation, on 10 December 1948.
