Ahead of the Nigeria Police Games starting from the twenty-ninth of February to eighth March 2020, Governor Willie Obiano has embarked on inspection visit to the Rojenny Games Village, Oba, and other venues of the sporting event.
Governor Obiano was accompanied by Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, and the State Chairman of the Sports commission, Chief Tony Oli, while Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka was on ground to receive them.
Governor Obiano also embarked on inspection visit for on the spot assessment to Otuocha Township Stadium where preparations are on top gear for the scheduled Nigeria Police Games, this month.

He also visited the NYSC Permanent Orientation camp, Umuawulu/ Mbaukwu, Tansi International College Okpuno and Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, where sand excavators, tippers and workers were seen on site trying to put finishing touches to their work.
Speaking to the press shortly after the inspection, the Governor who explained that the State will be hosting about fifteen thousand people from all over the Country, called on ndi Anambra to bring out the best of their hospitality during the games.
The Governor expressed satisfaction with the the pace of work going on at the various locations, and revealed that the State government has all it takes to host the Nigeria Police community who will feature in about twenty different games.
In his remarks, Chief Oli explained that the State Government through the Commission is seriously working to meet up with the scheduled date.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water resources, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne, Commissioner for children and women affairs, among others were part of the visit.
Recall that on Monday, tenth February 2020, Governor Obiano unveiled the 2020 Nigeria Police Games Logo where he assured the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu of best sports outing in the state ahead of the twelfth biennial police games.
