A motorbike, a pick-up truck, and a container-laden truck were all engaged in an accident on Tuesday in the Maryland-Jibowu neighborhood near Anthony Bridge in Lagos State that resulted in four injured people being sent to the hospital.
ANAEDOONLINE The truck’s brakes failed, the driver lost control, and the bike rider and van collided with it, according to information obtained by Metro.
The Federal Road Safety Corps’ state sector commander, Babatunde Farinloye, who confirmed the event, claimed there were two males and two ladies hurt.
“The accident happened around 1pm at the Maryland-Jibowu area by Anthony Bridge. Three vehicles were involved. Seven people were involved, and four persons were injured – two females and two males.

“The accident happened as a result of mechanical deficiency and loss of control,” Farinloye told reports in a telephone interview.
While confirming that the motorcyclist was part of the victims, the FRSC commander could not immediately ascertain which vehicle the remaining three victims were from.
He said the victims were rushed to a nearby hospital and the container was towed off by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.
In a video obtained by our correspondent, the bike was seen resting on the truck while the Mitsubishi van had its side severely damaged.
