A group of commercial motorcycle riders, known as Okada riders, mounted a protest on Friday against the conduct of the Lagos State Task Force Team in response to their motorcycles being seized.
The task force team conducted an operation to remove the Okada riders and impounded their motorcycles in the Alakija region of the state, where the event took place.
The angry motorcyclists reacted quickly after the motorcycles were reportedly forcibly taken and loaded into the task force van, according to eyewitnesses.

When police officials showed up and started using tear gas to break up the protesting Okada riders, the situation got even worse.
The Okada riders demonstrated their displeasure with the loss of their livelihood through the protest, bringing attention to the difficulties they experience as a result of regulatory actions.
