The Commissioner of Police Anambra state, CP Abang has congratulated Two Hundred and Twenty Eight (228) newly passed out Constables posted to Anambra State Police Command.
CP Abang in his address warn them to be Civil to members of the Public and refrain Corrupt practices while discharging their Constitutional duties.
The newly posted Police Constables who are all indigenes of Anambra State were addressed by the Commissioner of Police at the State Command Headquarters Awka before being deployed to their respective Local Governments of Origin in accordance with the directives of the Inspector-general of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu,NPM,mni.

Abang further warned the newly passed out Constables to refrain from all manner of Corrupt practices and indiscipline,noting that any one caught and found guilty would be shown the way out of the Force.
Finally,the CP Congratulated the newly passed constables for successful training and wished them a robust carrier in the Force.

The promotion was made Following approval by the Police Service Commission for the promotion of senior police officers on the recommendation of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu NPM, mni,
The twenty two Senior Police Officers are from the ranks of Superintendent to Chief Superintendents.
Consequently, the eight other officers comprising of two deputy Commissioners of Police and Six Assistant Commissioners of Police from the Command were equally decorated at zone 9 headquarters, Umuahia by the Assistant Inspector-general of Police incharge of the zone, AIG Baba Tijjani.
The promotion is in line with the Inspector-general of Police resolve towards boosting the morale of Police officers for effective service delivery. It is also based on merit, clean records of Service, seniority and dedication to duty.
The Commissioner of Police CP John B.Abang,fdc after the decoration, congratulates the beneficiaries and urged them to reciprocate the gesture done to them by the IGP by redoubling their efforts towards discharging their duties in accordance with internationally acceptable best practices.
The CP also warned them to desist from corrupt practices,professional misconducts and incivility to members of the Public.
