Real Madrid’s football players have been quarantined, after a member of their basketball team tested positive for the coronavirus.
Both teams share the same training ground.
And although the football and basketball teams work in different buildings at the campus, the decision has been taken to send all players home to self-isolate for 15 days.
Real Madrid were due to play Manchester City in the Champions League last-16 second leg on Tuesday, but the game could now be called off.
“Real Madrid C. F. announces that a member of our basketball first team has tested positive for coronavirus.
“The recommendation of remaining in quarantine has been followed with immediate effect, with this measure applied to both the basketball and football first teams, given that the two squads share the facilities at Real Madrid City,” a club statement said
On Tuesday, LaLiga announced that its next two rounds of fixtures would be played behind closed doors.

In another reports, Reports have it that Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has informed the club he will not return from Portugal, after his team-mate Daniele Rugani tested positive to coronavirus, the UK Sun reports.
Ronaldo wants to take precautionary measures in an attempt to prevent it spreading.
Serie A has been suspended until April 3, as Italy look to control the spread of the illness.
Ronaldo had returned to his native Madeira to visit his mother after she suffered a stroke, but now the 35-year-old has chosen to remain there until it is safe to return.
With his mother in the fragile state, Ronaldo will be especially wary of the risks of the coronavirus.
Ronaldo and the rest of the squad were pictured celebrating alongside Rugani in the dressing room, following a 2-1 win over Inter Milan last weekend.
The league fixture was played behind closed doors.
