The 300 level female student of Chemical Engineering, Oramasionwu Oluebubechukwu has accused Emmanuel Philip Chijindu, a 400 level student of Computer science department, of stabbing her on her head in December. She only survived due to the kind intervention of her neighbour’s.

According to a report made available to anaedoonline.ng, the students(Emmanuel and Oluebubechukwu) live in the same compound. On Wednesday 11th December 2019, Emmanuel prevented Oluebube from going into her room, it took the intervention of a man named prophet to get her access into her room.

She screamed for help since no one was in her compound when all these happened, her scream attracted other neighbours that made arrangements to take her to the hospital as she was bleeding profusely. Oluebube was admitted in the hospital for days.
According to the report, the VC of the school on hearing the matter summoned Oluebube to his office. Oluebube and her father visited the VC at the Igbariam campus on Wednesday 29th January 2020. He asked her what happened and she narrated the incident.

Emmanuel has been reportedly summoned to the magistrate court upto three times but he never shows up. He was summoned again on the 3rd February, 2020 but he didn’t show up. He was rearrested again that evening on court order.
On Tuesday morning being 4th February 2020 Oluebube got a call from the head of the anti cult in school saying that she is too stubborn that the VC said that she should withdraw the case and she refused. She was then instructed to look for another school but she did not take it seriously.
She narrated the events to her lawyer and it was mentioned in court but the Dean of student affairs (Ezenekwe Ifeanyi) who was sent by the VC to the court insisted that nothing of sort is going on.
The magistrate warned against any threats to Oluebube’s academics but the Dean said the school was only investigating the issue.
Unfortunately, on Thursday 13th February, 2020, when Oluebubechukwu was supposed to write her exams, she was stopped from writing the exams by her Head of Department. She was told she has been suspended and could not write the exams anymore.
The circular issued in schools stated that she should leave the school and everything that belongs to the school till further notice.
It is being alleged that Emmanuel Chijindu is a nephew to Prof. Greg Nwakoby who is the Vice-Chancellor of COOU and is trying to protect him.
Oluebube suffered eye problem issues due to knife stab, and she has been using glasses to correct her eyesight.
