Businessman, Philanthropist, and Chairman, Tummy Tummy foods Chief Chika Emenike in his unfathomable benevolence donated 1,000 cartons of Tummy Tummy noodles to the Anambra state government to support citizens in the wake of the Covid19 pandemic following the lockdown extension.
The hand over which took place on Wednesday, 15th April 2020 had representatives of Anambra state government and management of Tummy Tummy foods in a brief rendezvous.
Present at the Anambra state government house, Awka was state government officials led by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu on behalf of the state government. The SSG received the palliatives with great commendation.
He expressed gratitude to the management of Tummy Tummy foods for their generosity harkening to the call of the state government to donate to the most vulnerable.
Speaking with www.anaedoonline.com, Prof. Chukwulobelu emphasized that the state government has put transparent measures in place to ensure all materials get to the intended recipients. He further divulged the materials pass through 179 communities in Anambra state directly.

The fourth tier of government in Anambra state which is the town union he says plays a major role in the disbursement of these items and has remained effective. The governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano instructed that the President General (PG) and women leader of each community must sign off the materials before they are shared to the consumers to act as monitoring tactics for the distribution of the resources.
At the handover, Chief Emenike expressed his deep concern for persons who are affected by the lockdown down, pledging his continued support to join hands with the Anambra state government to ensure compliance to the Sit at home directives.

He further revealed to www.anaedoonline.com that asides his contribution to the government, he has run three different donations to ensure people around him are beneficiaries.

When asked the effect of the pandemic on his business, he recounted the losses in low sales the company has experienced, as people are being conservative of their resources reiterating that his business had a hit from the situation. In his postulations, “we can only pray that the pandemic goes away so we can go back to our normal lives”.
