In a recent development in Lagos, a 22-year-old car wash attendant named Issa Muhammed has been apprehended by the Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS) for his alleged involvement in the theft of a customer’s vehicle.
The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, officially confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Tuesday, September 12.
The incident occurred when Issa Muhammed, who was employed at a car wash in the Isheri area of Lagos, was entrusted with a 2012 Toyota Camry for cleaning. The vehicle was handed over to him by the owner in preparation for a family outing scheduled for later that afternoon.
However, instead of fulfilling his job responsibilities, Issa Muhammed reportedly absconded with the customer’s vehicle. He managed to remove the car’s number plate and disposed of any items that could link the vehicle to its rightful owner.
