Burna Boy, an award-winning Nigerian singer is set to perform at the 2021 Grammy pre-show which will be live-streamed on the official website, GRAMMY.com, on March 14.
The self-acclaimed “African Giant” will perform alongside Lido Pimienta, Poppy, Rufus Wainwright, and others.
Burnaboy is also one of the nominees in the Best Global Music Category, with Tuareg desert rock group Tinariwen, NYC afrobeat outfit Antibalas, Brazilian-American Bebel Gilberto, and British-Indian sitar player Anoushka Shankar.
The Best Global Music Category was previously known as international category of Best World Music Album, but was renamed in the 63rd annual ceremony to “make it more modern and inclusive.”
This is the singer’s second Grammy nomination. Recall that his previous album, African Giant, was nominated at the 62nd Grammy Awards for ‘Best World Music Album’, but he lost to Angélique Kidjo.
In other news, Popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has acquired a brand new Rolls-Royce Dawn estimated to worth about 140 million naira.
The two-time Grammy nominee, took to his Instagram page to flaunt the new convertible twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V-12 engine with 563 horsepower to his collection of cars.
