At least 20 troops and officers who were killed in combat by terrorists in Niger State are currently being buried.
The military revealed last week that 36 people paid the ultimate price during a terrorist ambush along the Zungeru-Tegina route and the ensuing plane crash in the Chukuba district of Shiroro, all of which occurred in Niger State.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, as well as the Minister of Defense, Abubakar Badaru, and his colleague for State, Bello Matawalle, are on the scene, according to our correspondent, who is now covering the funeral.

Other dignitaries include the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Yakubu Garba; the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja; Chief of Naval Staff, Emmanuel Ogalla; families and relatives of fallen heroes; among others.
