Angry youths have stormed a power plant in Oyibo Local Government Area, shutting it down totally causing a total blackout in many parts of Rivers state. The power plant known as Afam Power plant was closed down by youth on a rampage. In a statement, the Acting Manager, Corporate Communications, Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHEDC, Mrs. Chioma Aninwe, explained the reason for the lights out in parts of the state, said it was because of the action of the youth.
