The Enugu Electricity Distribution Plc (EEDC) wishes to inform her esteemed customers in parts of Anambra and Enugu States that the current loss of supply being experienced is as a result of an ongoing installation of 2 X 60MVA Power Transformer by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), at its Agu Awka Substation.
As a result of this development, the 132KV line from Awada TCN which feeds Nibo and Agu Awka Injection Substations, as well as Oji River Interface Station were isolated in order to give a safe working space for the installation.
Consequently, all our customers under Awka and Ekwulobia Districts in Anambra State are out of electricity supply, while those in Enugu feeding on Oji River Station such as Ugwuoba, Achi, Inyi, Oji River, Akpugoeze, Awlaw, and Oji Water Works are also without electricity supply.
It is hoped that this exercise will go a long way in improving the quality of electricity supply to our esteemed customers within the affected areas.
We are standing by to restore supply to our customers once the TCN concludes on the work.
Signed:
Emeka Ezeh
Head Communications, EEDC
